The Department of Social Services under the Ministry of Social Welfare has published an Expression of Interest for the selection of a qualified consulting firm or NGO to support capacity strengthening of social workers in elderly care, special needs and disability management.

The initiative forms part of the Inclusive Services and Opportunities project. The assignment focuses on areas including training-needs assessment, competency-based curriculum development, Training of Trainers, elderly care, disability inclusion, rehabilitation, social work, case management, safeguarding and community-based support. The procurement notice was published on September 27, 2026.
