Our Mission
The mission of Youth Advancement Sontek Society (YASS) is to contribute to the social and community development of Sontek by creating an accessible support network through which residents can seek guidance, identify their needs, understand available opportunities, access appropriate services and participate actively in the development of their community.
As Sontek has grown from a less-developed residential area into a larger and more diverse community, the needs of its residents have also changed. YASS therefore works to connect people with practical support in areas such as education, employment, healthcare, housing, legal assistance, financial and social-benefit guidance, childcare, transportation, youth development and other essential community resources.
Our mission is also to provide structured community support through resident intake and needs assessment, individual support planning, appropriate program participation, referrals, regular follow-up and progress monitoring, while maintaining cooperation with healthcare providers, social service organizations, professionals, local institutions and other community partners.
We seek to strengthen Sontek's culture of mutual assistance by mobilizing and coordinating volunteers, developing life and practical skills, organizing youth and community programs, supporting vulnerable individuals and families, responding to community emergencies and crises, and coordinating services where residents require additional assistance.

Our Vision
Our vision is to see Sontek develop into a connected, supportive, inclusive and self-reliant community where residents of different ages and circumstances have access to the information, opportunities, services and support they need to improve their quality of life.
Youth Development & Participation
Young people have opportunities for education, skills development, leadership, employment, volunteering, sports and positive community participation.
Guidance & Continued Support
Individuals and families facing difficulties can approach a trusted community organization for guidance, assessment, appropriate referrals and continued support.
Social Assistance & Pensions
Older residents and people requiring social assistance can receive guidance in understanding and accessing relevant allowances, pensions and community resources.
Essential Community Services
Families can more easily locate healthcare, legal assistance, housing support, childcare, transportation, employment opportunities and other essential services.
Crisis & Emergency Relief
Vulnerable residents can receive timely community support during financial hardship, displacement, natural disasters and other emergencies.
Provider Referral Network
Local professionals and service providers—including healthcare providers, advocates, educators, childcare providers and other organizations—can work together through an effective community referral and support network.
Meaningful Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers and community members have meaningful opportunities to contribute through social services, education, health initiatives, disaster response, sports, cultural activities and community development.
Monitored & Evaluated Programs
Community programs are organized, monitored and evaluated, allowing YASS to understand their impact and improve future services.
Active Community Co-creation
Residents are not merely recipients of assistance but are encouraged to become active participants in solving local problems and strengthening their own community.
